Accountant – International Technology Company

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a capable and hands‑on Accountant to join a growing technology organisation operating across multiple international jurisdictions. Working closely with the Head of Finance and CFO, you will ensure accuracy, compliance and integrity of financial operations across eight legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, expense claims, corporate card transactions and multi‑currency payments for all entities.
• Prepare and maintain intercompany journals, reconciliations and balance confirmations.
• Lead month‑end close activities, including accruals, depreciation, provisions and deferred revenue.
• Support indirect tax reporting (BAS, GST, sales tax) and assist with statutory reporting, audit and payroll compliance.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement and automation initiatives, partnering with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
• CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong experience with month‑end processes, balance‑sheet reconciliations and multi‑entity, multi‑currency environments.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel capabilities.
• Experience with cloud‑based accounting systems, preferably Xero.
• Solid understanding of GST, tax compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
