Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

This position offers an experienced accountant the chance to join a collaborative finance team within a purpose‑driven organisation. You will provide accounting and transactional support across multiple entities while ensuring financial integrity and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records in the accounting system and post journals.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate variances and prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes and support interim and annual audits.
• Prepare monthly management reports, financial analysis and monitor performance against budgets.
• Analyse financial trends, provide recommendations and support stakeholders in interpreting results.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives and ensure data confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Progress toward or completion of CA/CPA qualification or equivalent.
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including large‑data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience with CRM systems.
• Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.
