Accountant – eCommerce (Management Accounting & FP&A)

About the role

We are looking for an accountant to join a global direct‑to‑consumer retail business that is scaling its processes, systems and commercial growth. The role blends core management accounting with cash‑flow forecasting and offers a pathway into FP&A and commercial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with marketing and acquisition teams to manage partner commission accruals and weekly cash‑flow schedules.
• Act as finance liaison for major brand partners, handling reconciliation queries and regulatory reporting.
• Support FP&A by delivering variance analysis on operating costs, logistics performance and customer‑service spend.
• Own inventory and margin analysis, including COGS postings, stock pricing issues and cycle‑count validation.
• Calculate quarterly stock provisions, manage stock‑take reconciliations and inter‑company reporting.
• Build and maintain weekly cash‑flow forecasts in collaboration with the Financial Controller.
• Automate repetitive processes using Microsoft Excel, Dynamics 365 and AI tools such as Copilot.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce or Finance, fully CPA qualified or near completion.
• Management accounting or commercial analyst experience in retail, FMCG, logistics or inventory‑intensive environments.
• Interest or capability in FP&A, budgeting and commercial modelling.
• Proven track record of cross‑functional business partnering and clear communication of financial data.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP platforms.
• Use of AI tools such as Copilot to automate and improve spreadsheet models.
