Account Manager - TUFLOW Software Sales

About the role

BMT's TUFLOW software team, which includes about 20 people across Australia, the UK and the USA, is looking for an Account Manager to handle frontline TUFLOW software sales to external commercial and government clients in the Australia, Asia and Pacific region. The role reports to the APAC Sales Lead and is supported by the APAC Sales and Licensing Administrator.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for software purchase enquiries.
• Build strong relationships and a deep understanding of the flood, stormwater, river, coastal and water industries and TUFLOW products so you can talk knowledgeably with current and prospective customers.
• Drive software sales growth by engaging prospects and guiding them from enquiry through to onboarding.
• Deliver product demonstrations, proposals and commercial solutions that show the value of TUFLOW.
• Strengthen retention through proactive account management and subscription renewals.
• Represent TUFLOW at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities.
• Monitor industry trends, customer needs and market developments to find future growth opportunities.
• Work with technical, product and leadership teams to improve the customer experience.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in software, technology or technical solution sales.
• Demonstrated experience managing customer relationships and moving opportunities through the sales process.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand technical products and explain their value to customers.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage several customers, opportunities and priorities.
• Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
