Account Manager – Public Sector Insurance

About the role

The Account Manager will develop and maintain relationships with public sector clients across South Australia, delivering tailored risk and insurance solutions. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to understand client risk profiles and drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of public sector accounts, ensuring proactive service delivery and compliance with agreed standards.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts, promoting additional products and broader policies.
• Advocate for clients in claims processes, overseeing equitable settlements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced brokers and support team members as needed.
• Travel across South Australia to meet clients and strengthen relationships.

Required profile

• Relevant experience as an insurance broker serving public sector or corporate clients.
• Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) or equivalent tertiary qualification.
• Strong knowledge of insurance broking principles, products, and risk management.
• Excellent negotiation, report writing, and business communication skills.
