Account Manager – Medical Device Logistics

About the role

Smartways is seeking a commercially sharp Account Manager to own a portfolio of medical device clients across Australia and New Zealand. You will be the trusted go‑to person, building strong relationships, exceeding expectations and identifying growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of medical device accounts, maintain relationships and achieve sales targets.
• Collaborate with operations and customer service to ensure on‑time, accurate delivery of transportation, warehousing and inventory services.
• Develop deep understanding of client businesses, monitor market trends and devise strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
• Analyse supply‑chain processes, recommend efficiency improvements and provide regular shipment and inventory updates.
• Prepare and conduct business reviews, support tenders, pricing and presentations, and manage contracts and agreements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics or related field.
• 3‑5 years of account management experience in logistics, transport or supply‑chain (medical device experience highly regarded).
• Proven B2B negotiation skills, strong communication and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Track record of meeting sales targets and developing new business opportunities.
• Willingness to travel domestically as needed.

Required skills

• Understanding of revenue models, rate cards, P/L, cost‑to‑serve and commercial analytics.
• Ability to implement and manage contracts and agreements.
