Account Manager – Insurance Brokerage

About the role

Join a newly integrated brokerage to manage a well‑established portfolio of long‑standing SME and mid‑market clients in Adelaide. You will act as a trusted risk advisor, delivering end‑to‑end broking services and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of valued clients, handling renewals, endorsements and placements.
• Oversee claims management with a dedicated local claims team to ensure positive outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers, identifying new business opportunities.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate with underwriters and present tailored insurance solutions.
• Mentor a Junior Broker and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager in general and professional insurance broking.
• Exposure to SME and/or mid‑market clients across various industries.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products.
• Tier 1 broking qualification (essential) and willingness to work towards a diploma.
• Ability to take ownership, solve problems and thrive in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.
