Account Executive – Federal Government Sales (Canberra)

About the role

Join Splunk, a Cisco company, as an Account Executive focused on the Federal Government market in Canberra. You will drive growth by acquiring new business and expanding existing engagements, leveraging the combined Splunk and Cisco portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a named list of Federal Government civilian accounts, targeting new business and expansion.
• Consistently achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets for licenses, support, and services.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on initiatives such as network modernisation, 5G deployment, cloud migration, and operational resilience.
• Collaborate with Splunk Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Partner, and Cisco teams to deepen account penetration.
• Lead pricing, commercial negotiations, and value‑based selling discussions with stakeholders at all levels.
• Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management in Salesforce.

Required profile

• Extensive Federal Government sales experience within the ACT SaaS space.
• Established senior‑level relationships within the Federal Government civilian sector.
• Confidence using Salesforce CRM.
• Ability to engage C‑suite and senior public‑sector executives.
