Account Executive – Federal Government

About the role

Salesforce is seeking strategic Account Executives to join its Canberra‑based Public Sector team. You will drive adoption of AI‑powered CRM solutions across Australian federal agencies, guiding them through digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business opportunities within defence, home affairs, health, justice, finance and other government departments.
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, delivering consultative, value‑based proposals.
• Collaborate with Solution Engineers, Industry Specialists, Customer Success teams and partners to co‑create tailored solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with key decision‑makers and navigate public‑sector procurement, policy and security requirements.

Required profile

• Proven success as an Account Executive or similar role in SaaS/enterprise technology.
• Experience selling into the public sector with knowledge of government buying cycles.
• Recognised as a trusted advisor capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
• Collaborative, high‑integrity approach with strong business acumen.
