Account Director – Maritime

About the role

The Account Director – Maritime will lead Anduril’s customer engagement for the Dive‑XL program in Australia, acting as the primary voice of the Royal Australian Navy and related defence agencies within the product organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow relationships with the RAN, Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group, Defence Science and Technology Group and Commonwealth departments.
• Provide operational insight to shape the Dive‑XL roadmap, ensuring Australian requirements are reflected in product decisions.
• Partner with the SEA1200 Program Director to align contract execution with customer expectations and drive extension opportunities.
• Support capture activities, early requirement shaping and responses to Commonwealth market approaches.
• Represent Australian customer interests across the global Dive‑XL portfolio and feed lessons into allied programmes.

Required profile

• Extensive Royal Australian Navy warfare experience, preferably submarine or Principal Warfare Officer background.
• Proven track record in capability management, force design or requirements development within the defence acquisition process.
• Established senior‑level network across Navy, Defence and the Australian undersea enterprise.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to engineers and flag officers.
• International exposure through allied exchange, coalition operations or overseas postings.

Required skills

• Technical depth in autonomy, mission systems and payload integration for undersea platforms.
• Familiarity with the ASDEFCON framework and Commonwealth approaches to market.
• Ability to translate operational analysis and threat assessments into clear capability needs.
• Commercial judgement for scope definition, investment case development and programme funding.
