Sourcing Analyst – Procurement

About the role

Rio Tinto is looking for a Sourcing Analyst to join its Gladstone Procurement delivery team. You will help shape sourcing outcomes that support safe, reliable and commercially effective operations across a diverse portfolio of categories.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute tender activities for Gladstone sites and global spend portfolios.
• Design and maintain sourcing strategies aligned with business requirements.
• Collect and analyse internal, market and system data (including SAP, Ariba and contract management systems) to identify value opportunities.
• Prepare and release tender packages, conduct risk assessments, evaluate supplier proposals and make award recommendations.
• Lead negotiation plans, work with Contracts and Legal teams, and prepare contracts or variations.
• Collaborate with procurement colleagues, business stakeholders and suppliers to align outcomes with site priorities.
• Support supplier performance, integration and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement processes, including sourcing, tender preparation, evaluation, negotiation and contract execution.
• Strong influencing, stakeholder engagement and change‑management capability.
