Senior Manager – Specialised Credit (Emerging Corporate)

About the role

The Senior Manager, Specialised Credit (Emerging Corporate) will lead a high‑performing team within ANZ’s Business & Private Banking Risk function. Reporting to Group Risk, you will provide independent second‑line oversight of the Emerging Corporate portfolio, ensuring credit decisions align with the Group’s risk appetite, policies and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of credit specialists to deliver robust credit quality and portfolio outcomes.
• Provide independent risk oversight, challenge business proposals and influence credit governance.
• Partner with business and risk leaders to translate strategy into sound credit decision‑making.
• Promote a strong risk culture, accountability and regulatory compliance across the portfolio.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in specialised credit assessment, decision‑making and risk management.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to influence senior executives.
• Strong analytical judgement and ability to balance competing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop high‑performing teams.
