Senior Consultant – Retail Home Lending & Small Business

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join the Suncorp Bank branch in Townsville. The role supports retail Home Lending and small business channels, helping to grow the portfolio and enhance customer experience. The position is full‑time, permanent, based at Castletown Shopping World in Townsville and offers the opportunity to contribute to the branch’s growth targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality credit and risk solutions for home lending and small business processing requirements.
• Identify client needs and refer them to specialist lenders and Business Bankers.
• Manage relationships with existing customers and build new relationships through intermediary partners and Home Loan Welcome Calls.
• Respond to client queries promptly, adhering to service standards.
• Escalate risks and issues, capture service requests in Ignite, and follow complaint resolution processes.
• Maintain high data quality in systems and documentation.
• Collaborate with regional peers to ensure effective support and service delivery.
• Assist the Branch Manager in developing lending knowledge across the team.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, banking or finance (desirable).
• Demonstrated experience in roles focused on growth and customer relationship management.
• Strong understanding of retail home lending and small business banking processes.
