Senior Consultant – Retail Home Lending & Small Business

About the role

The Senior Consultant will support the Castletown branch in delivering high‑quality home lending and small‑business credit solutions. You will help grow the retail lending portfolio, enhance customer connectivity and contribute to a strong NPS rating.

Key responsibilities

• Provide credit and risk solutions for home loan and small‑business applications while ensuring a seamless customer experience.
• Identify client needs and refer opportunities to specialist lenders and Business Bankers within Suncorp.
• Manage relationships with existing customers and build new relationships through intermediary partners and Home Loan Welcome Calls.
• Respond promptly to client queries in line with service standards.
• Escalate risks and issues, capture them as service requests in Ignite, and follow the complaint resolution process.
• Maintain high data‑quality standards in all systems and documentation.
• Collaborate with regional peers to ensure effective support and service delivery.
• Assist the Branch Manager in developing lending knowledge across the team.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, banking or finance are desirable.
• Proven experience in retail home lending or small‑business credit environments.
• Strong customer‑focused mindset with the ability to manage a portfolio of clients.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Ignite service‑request platform.
