Senior Associate – Operational Risk (Business & Private Banking)

About the role

The Senior Associate, Operational Risk supports second‑line oversight of non‑financial and operational risks across the Business & Private Banking value chain. Working closely with first‑line stakeholders, the role contributes to risk identification, assessment and control design for SME, Commercial and Private Banking customer journeys.

Key responsibilities

• Review risks, controls and risk assessments across designated Business & Private Banking activities.
• Analyse risk data to identify trends, emerging risks and control weaknesses in onboarding, lending and servicing processes.
• Assist in assessing control design and effectiveness, providing risk opinions, challenges and recommendations.
• Support the review and escalation of material issues and incidents in line with Group standards.
• Contribute to risk insights, reporting and governance outputs, and help document root‑cause analyses.

Required profile

• Experience in operational risk or related risk management functions within banking or financial services.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret risk data and identify material issues.
• Ability to work independently under guidance while maintaining independence from first‑line control ownership.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with senior risk colleagues and first‑line stakeholders.
