About the role
Join a team across Cairns to conduct Residential Aged Care Funding Assessments using the AN-ACC tool. This part‑time position offers autonomy, travel to aged care homes and the chance to influence funding classifications.
Key responsibilities
- Travel to residential aged care facilities to interview residents and staff and review health records.
- Perform AN‑ACC assessments by triangulating data from documentation, observations and conversations.
- Provide support to other regions as needed and attend training sessions.
Required profile
- 5+ years post‑registration clinical experience in the aged‑care sector.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration (Nursing, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy).
- Demonstrated experience with dementia care and clinical assessment tools.
Required skills
- Proficiency in conducting clinical assessments using standardized tools.
- Strong communication with residents, families and facility managers.
