Cloud Engineer

About the role

RPMGlobal is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join its Customer Infrastructure Team in Brisbane. You will design, deploy, configure and maintain customer‑facing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, while providing technical guidance to both customers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable, secure IaaS and SaaS solutions on Azure and AWS.
• Configure and manage core cloud services such as Azure VMs, App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Entra ID, AWS EC2, ECR, EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Secrets Manager, Aurora, Route 53 and EventBridge.
• Automate provisioning, monitoring and maintenance using Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell or similar tools.
• Implement security best practices, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and optimise resource utilisation.
• Stay current with emerging Azure and AWS technologies and industry trends.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a comparable IT role.
• Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate or AWS SysOps Administrator Associate.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and experience with Fortinet and Azure networking.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication skills in English.

• AWS services (EC2, ECR, EKS, ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Secrets Manager, Aurora, Route 53, EventBridge).
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools: Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates.
• Automation/scripting: PowerShell.
• Containerisation: Docker and Kubernetes.
