Business Development Representative I

About the role

The Business Development Representative I at Diligent will drive growth by prospecting new business opportunities and acting as a brand ambassador for Diligent’s governance SaaS solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Use lead generation tools (Cold calling, LinkedIn, Outreach, Salesforce, ZoomInfo) to build accurate prospect lists.
• Engage prospects via email, phone and social channels, qualify decision‑makers and generate interest.
• Schedule meetings and demos for account executives and log activities in the CRM.
• Meet or exceed outbound targets and KPIs, and support team performance.

Required profile

• Strong passion for a target‑driven sales environment.
• Solid understanding of the sales process from prospecting to closing.
• Excellent communication skills with senior‑level executives.
• High energy, positive attitude and ability to quickly learn product details.

Required skills

• Experience with Salesforce.
• Familiarity with ZoomInfo.
• Proficiency in LinkedIn prospecting.
• Use of outreach automation tools.
