Business Consultant Intern - ESG and Climate Advisory Startup

About the role

A Sydney-based ESG and climate advisory startup is looking for a Business Consultant Intern to work directly with its Founder/CEO. The client's vision is to integrate ESG and climate considerations into every business decision, using data, AI and technology to help organisations accelerate time to value, comply with emerging regulations and improve performance. The internship lasts 6 months, starts in January 2027, is preferably full-time (at least 3 days per week if not) and follows a hybrid working arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing strategies across marketing, finance and operations
• Support go-to-market strategies and marketing activities
• Research ESG and climate regulations to identify business opportunities
• Collaborate with partners to drive change and form strategic alliances
• Contribute to business growth by helping with finance and operational tasks
• Help deliver consulting work for clients

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Data Science or a related field
• Strong interest in ESG, climate change and sustainability
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
