BMS Service Technician – Building Automation

About the role

A specialist BMS controls company, representing a leading building automation and energy management expert, is hiring a BMS Service Technician in Sydney. The company offers a unique product offering and provides fully customised service covering installation, design, upgrade, commissioning and end-to-end project delivery. The role pays around $90-120k plus superannuation, vehicle or allowance and a full package.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled service and updates for BMS and building automation systems.
• Configure and programme BMS and HVAC control systems.
• Perform routine maintenance in a specific region to improve energy efficiency.
• Commission and carry out small project works.
• Liaise with clients, recommend upgrades, integration and building efficiency improvements.
• Write accurate service reports and provide commissioning reports as required.
• Respond to client service requests, programme systems and schedule point-to-point tasks.
• Build relationships with existing and new customers.
• Investigate and diagnose faults and provide technical support.

Required profile

• Proven experience programming and commissioning BMS/HVAC systems.
• Restricted electrical licence.
• Current Australian driver's licence.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of IP-related protocols, networking and communications.
• Strong knowledge of controls protocols including BACnet and Modbus.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, standards and plant operating instructions.
