Assistant Manager – Business & Private Bank

About the role

ANZ is looking for an Assistant Manager to join its Business & Private Bank in Parramatta. This 12‑month secondment provides hands‑on exposure to a $5‑15 million diversified‑industries lending portfolio, offering a solid foundation in commercial banking and credit analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers in delivering tailored banking solutions and insights to commercial and private clients.
• Conduct financial analysis and develop customer‑focused strategies to drive business performance.
• Maintain a professional market profile and stay informed on industry trends and market dynamics.
• Collaborate with internal functions and stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and outcomes.
• Demonstrate ANZ values in all interactions with customers and colleagues.

Required profile

• Strong financial literacy, analytical ability and commercial acumen.
• Experience building relationships in a customer‑delivery or experience role.
• Understanding of security‑arrangement structuring.
• Banking experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Preferably holds an accounting or finance degree, though this is not a strict requirement.
