Property Accountant

About the role

Minor Hotels is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Property Accountant to join the Finance team in Brisbane. You will manage financial reporting and performance for a portfolio of properties, working closely with Hotel General Managers and operational leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports, profit & loss statements and variance analysis.
• Develop monthly forecasts, annual budgets and cash‑flow analysis for the property portfolio.
• Perform daily and monthly revenue, balance‑sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Review financial performance with Hotel General Managers, property owners and finance leadership.
• Provide financial advice and commercial support to operational leaders.
• Identify cost drivers, recommend profitability improvements and analyse business performance.
• Own the finance function for an allocated portfolio and implement process improvements.
• Maintain financial controls, compliance requirements and reporting obligations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline.
• Previous experience as a Property Accountant, Hotel Financial Controller or similar finance role.
• Strong financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical capability and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel.
