Operations Manager – Professional Services

About the role

The client is a respected professional services firm with offices in Melbourne and Sydney. They are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead office services, facilities, and security, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations across both locations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of four office operations staff in Melbourne and Sydney.
• Oversee facilities management, including leases, maintenance, and office services.
• Manage external contractors, suppliers and service providers to ensure high standards and value for money.
• Coordinate security procedures, workplace health and safety inspections, risk assessments and incident reporting.
• Administer operational budgets, procurement, contract negotiations and service level agreements.
• Supervise fleet management, covering vehicle servicing, registration, insurance and maintenance.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Office Operations Manager, Facilities Manager, Business Services Manager or similar.
• Background in legal, accounting, financial services or another high‑end professional services environment (essential).
• Proven people‑management skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team.
• Experience managing security, workplace safety and business continuity processes (desirable).
