Human Resources Officer

About the role

An experienced HR Officer is needed to join a well‑established mining organisation in Perth CBD. The role sits within a fast‑paced HR Shared Services team and provides responsive, accurate support across a diverse operational workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and respond to high‑volume HR queries through ServiceNow ticketing.
• Provide advice on HR policies, procedures and employment conditions.
• Prepare employment contracts, variations, letters and other employee documentation.
• Process employee changes, transfers, promotions and remuneration updates.
• Maintain accurate employee and organisational information, including organisational charts.
• Interpret and apply relevant industrial instruments, including Enterprise Agreements and Modern Awards.
• Ensure advice and documentation align with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and other workplace legislation.
• Support HR processes within a structured Shared Services environment.

Required profile

• Qualified tertiary education in Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as an HR Officer or HR Coordinator in a fast‑paced or Shared Services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage high‑volume HR enquiries, preferably using ServiceNow or a similar system.
• Practical understanding of industrial instruments, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
• Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
