Duty Manager – Operations Leader

About the role

The Duty Manager will support day‑to‑day operations at SIXT Australia’s Gold Coast Airport branch, reporting to the Branch Manager. The role focuses on driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Coach the frontline team to achieve sales targets, promote upselling and monitor performance metrics.
• Lead front‑ and back‑of‑house staff to deliver seamless customer service and smooth daily operations.
• Oversee fleet planning, vehicle availability and ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints, using feedback to improve service delivery.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols, operational procedures and asset/key management.
• Manage rental bookings, agreements and customer data accurately using company tech platforms.

Required profile

• Motivated sales talent with a strong customer‑service orientation.
• Relevant experience in sales, customer service or tourism; vehicle‑rental experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, supervisory and communication abilities.
• Highly organised with a service‑oriented mindset.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts from 6 am to midnight, including weekends and public holidays.
• Current provisional or full driver’s licence, Australian work rights and willingness to undergo a criminal history check.
