Business Development Manager – IT & Cybersecurity

About the role

MADRE Janus is expanding its cybersecurity and managed technology services business in Australia and seeks a Business Development Manager to build the market from the ground up. You will work directly with senior technology leaders to translate complex security needs into profitable, long‑term engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new mid‑market and enterprise accounts across Australia and build a qualified sales pipeline.
• Generate opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking and industry events.
• Lead discovery, stakeholder mapping, technical workshops, demos and proofs of concept.
• Create and present compelling proposals, manage negotiations, RFPs, tenders and contract discussions.
• Close new business and identify cross‑sell opportunities with managed security, cloud, and infrastructure services.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of B2B technology sales or business‑development experience with a proven record of closing new business.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian technology market and experience selling cybersecurity, managed services, cloud or infrastructure solutions.
• Confidence engaging CIOs, CISOs, CTOs and other senior decision‑makers.
• Consultative selling, presentation, negotiation and proposal‑development skills.
• Commercial discipline, resilience and ability to work independently.
