Team Manager – Proactive Services (Retail Operations)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Team Manager to lead our Proactive Services team across multiple Woolworths stores. You will ensure trolleys are available, stores stay clean and waste is managed, creating a safe and pleasant environment for customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team responsible for cleaning, trolley collection and waste support.
• Create and manage rosters to cover early mornings, days, late nights and weekends.
• Collaborate with Store Leadership to identify challenges, opportunities and priorities.
• Handle time‑and‑attendance duties, track hours and manage absences.
• Order and control consumables such as cleaning supplies within budget.
• Perform core operational tasks alongside the team, including cleaning, trolley collection and waste management.

Required profile

• Ambitious mindset with a passion for retail and people.
• Physical fitness for demanding tasks and ability to work in shop floor, fridges, freezers and car parks.
• Organised, able to ensure team has equipment and supplies safely.
• Comfortable working within regulated frameworks (Food Safety, industrial regulations, code of conduct).
• Valid full Australian driver’s licence (green P’s or full licence).

Required skills

• Experience in team leadership or supervision.
• Ability to create and manage staff rosters.
• Budget management for consumables.
• Knowledge of food safety and industrial regulations.
