Senior Manager, Diversified Credit (Wholesale SME)

About the role

ANZ is seeking a Senior Manager for its Diversified Credit portfolio focused on Wholesale SME customers. The role sits within the Business & Private Banking risk team and provides independent second‑line oversight to ensure credit quality and portfolio performance align with the Group’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Wholesale SME team within the Diversified Credit portfolio, overseeing credit decisions and portfolio quality.
• Influence strategic credit and portfolio decisions through trusted partnerships with senior business and risk stakeholders.
• Build and develop a high‑performing team, enhancing capability, risk expertise, and credit assessment excellence.
• Champion a strong risk culture by ensuring effective governance, policy adherence, and transparent risk reporting.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and stakeholder influencing skills, with experience managing executive stakeholders.
• Advanced credit assessment, decision‑making, and risk management capabilities across Wholesale SME portfolios.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and prioritisation abilities for complex credit scenarios.
• Continuous improvement mindset, including identifying policy gaps and driving enhancements.
