Senior Lawyer – Dispute Resolution

About the role

ANZ is seeking a Senior Lawyer to join its Dispute Resolution Group. You will provide commercial, practical and strategic advice on a wide range of contentious matters and lead major disputes, litigation and regulatory enforcement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage legal risk, business reputation and exposure to disputes through high‑quality, timely and cost‑effective legal services.
• Independently drive the development and execution of litigation strategies for major cases.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external law firms to minimise disruption and support business priorities.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture by sharing knowledge and developing both legal and non‑legal skills.

Required profile

• Significant post‑qualification experience in dispute resolution and commercial litigation, preferably from a major Australian law firm or comparable in‑house team.
• Experience with class actions and regulatory enforcement proceedings is an advantage.
• Ability to deliver strategically considered, commercially relevant legal advice.
• Growth mindset with adaptability to an evolving legal risk landscape.
