Medical Partner – Oncology

About the role

The Medical Partner – Oncology will serve as a trusted scientific liaison within Roche’s customer engagement model, focusing on oncology therapeutics. You will build deep relationships with key external stakeholders to shape medical practice and support the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a scientific expert for Roche’s oncology portfolio, providing therapeutic area expertise.
• Lead the medical component of the local strategy and integrate it with broader engagement plans.
• Engage proactively with Therapeutic Area Experts (TAEs) and other key stakeholders.
• Develop and execute end‑to‑end strategies that anticipate medical trends and enhance portfolio positioning.
• Collect, analyse, and translate external scientific insights and clinical practice perspectives into actionable recommendations.
• Identify evidence gaps and propose solutions to support local medical practice.

Required profile

• Qualified medical affairs professional with a degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Natural Sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Medical Adviser or Medical Manager, preferably with deep oncology expertise.
• Established relationships with Australian Therapeutic Area Experts.
• Comprehensive knowledge of drug development, clinical trials, Real‑World Evidence, and the Australian medical and regulatory environment.
• Strong understanding of the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to seek opportunities, navigate ambiguity, and challenge the status quo.
