Intermediate Accountant – Accounting Firm in Sydney

About the role

We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join a dynamic CA firm located in Sydney's CBD. The role offers exposure to a diverse client base, including SMEs, family groups, high‑net‑worth individuals and larger private businesses, with a supportive environment that encourages professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for SMEs, partnerships, trusts and SMSFs.
• Manage tax compliance across GST, CGT, FBT and Division 7A.
• Research tax matters arising from the compliance process.
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies.
• Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on client tax issues.

Required profile

• 2‑4+ years of local business services experience in an accounting firm.
• Currently studying or recently commenced CA/CPA qualification.
• Self‑starter with strong attention to detail.
• Experience with SMSF administration is a plus but not essential.
