About the role
Lead curriculum and teaching improvement at Cedar Creek State School as Head of Department (Curriculum). This temporary full‑time position runs for Terms 3 and 4 of 2026, ending on 11 December 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Key responsibilities
- Lead curriculum planning, implementation and review to improve learning outcomes for all students.
- Set and maintain high expectations for student and staff performance across curriculum areas.
- Embed inclusive and socially just practices in everyday teaching and learning.
- Build staff capability through coaching, mentoring and collaborative professional learning.
- Use data and evidence to inform decision‑making and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and sustain positive partnerships with students, families, agencies and the wider community.
- Operate within relevant legislation, departmental policies and frameworks.
- Contribute to the effective management of curriculum‑related resources.
Required profile
- Relational and future‑focused leader with a strong commitment to educational achievement, belonging and engagement.
- Demonstrated experience in instructional leadership and curriculum development.
- Ability to work collaboratively and foster inclusive learning environments.
- Proficiency in using data to guide improvement initiatives.
