Project Officer – Industry Engagement (Engineering Faculty)

About the role

The Project Officer – Industry Engagement will coordinate initiatives across the Student Industry portfolio within the Faculty of Engineering. Working closely with industry partners, students and faculty staff, the role creates and delivers programmes that connect engineering students with real‑world industry experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage industry engagement activities, events and programmes.
• Support and nurture relationships with alumni, industry partners and prospective employers.
• Collaborate with the Student Experience and Opportunities team to ensure successful delivery of portfolio initiatives.
• Develop project plans, documentation and timelines, monitoring progress against objectives.
• Handle stakeholder communications, ensuring clear and timely information flow.
• Manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities and meet competing deadlines.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification with demonstrated experience in project coordination or stakeholder engagement.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to build long‑term relationships.
• Proven experience delivering engagement activities, events and programmes.
• Excellent time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Understanding of the project life‑cycle and experience creating project documentation.

Required skills

• Level 6 salary range $103,866 – $110,801 per annum plus 17% superannuation.
• Fixed‑term 24‑month contract, full‑time onsite role on the Kensington campus.
