Digital Specialist – Computational Design

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Digital Specialist to lead computational design initiatives across multidisciplinary projects. You will work with cutting‑edge parametric and algorithmic tools to create data‑driven, performance‑oriented models that support complex engineering challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrative workflows that combine parametric and algorithmic design strategies.
• Advocate the value of computational design to internal teams and clients, and provide training on relevant tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to generate, simulate, and evaluate comprehensive design models.
• Contribute to projects in various geographies, applying computational expertise to diverse market contexts.

Required profile

• Passion for re‑imagining engineering and a commitment to continuous learning.
• Relevant qualification in computational design or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within diverse, collaborative teams.
• Broad professional experience that showcases creativity and problem‑solving.

Required skills

• Proficiency with visual programming languages such as Dynamo or Grasshopper.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python, C# or similar text‑based languages.
• Experience with cloud‑based development using JavaScript and HTML5 (desirable).
