Clinical Nurse – Sunshine Coast

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Clinical Nurse to provide clinical leadership and expert nursing care across BlueCare’s residential aged‑care facilities on the Sunshine Coast. The role involves guiding care staff, supporting complex clinical decisions and ensuring resident‑centred, high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical leadership and advice for complex resident care needs.
• Develop, implement, monitor and review resident care plans to promote health and wellbeing.
• Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support orientation, mentoring, supervision and professional development of care staff.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, legislation and clinical governance.
• Assist with ACFI assessments to optimise funding outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, residents, families and external stakeholders.
• Participate in quality improvement, risk management and WHS activities.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive general nursing experience with strong clinical skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI).
• Understanding of person‑centred, resident‑based care delivery.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
