Casual Academic – Nursing & Midwifery Lecturer (Various Fields)

About the role

CQUniversity’s School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences is seeking qualified casual academics to deliver and assess nursing and midwifery programmes across undergraduate, postgraduate and mental health streams. The role is flexible, with work‑from‑home arrangements available (excluding South East Queensland).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver face‑to‑face or online teaching sessions for assigned nursing or midwifery units.
• Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Support student learning and progression through timely communication.
• Maintain compliance with AHPRA standards and university policies.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification at or above the level of the unit to be taught.
• Current AHPRA registration and recent industry experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Experience in clinical education or academic marking is desirable.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in nursing or midwifery.
• Ability to design and deliver curriculum content.
• Proficiency in student assessment and feedback processes.
