Project Management Lecturer – Elite Sport Environment

About the role

TAFE Queensland Academy of Sport is seeking an experienced project management professional to teach the Diploma of Project Management within a high‑performance sport context. You will work at the Parramatta Eels Institute, delivering practical, industry‑linked education to students aspiring to become sport project leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assess the BSB50820 – Diploma of Project Management to diploma‑level students.
• Guide students through end‑to‑end project lifecycles using real briefs from elite sport organisations.
• Contribute contextual learning elements to related diplomas where appropriate.
• Collaborate with industry partners such as Brisbane Broncos, Brisbane Lions, and Brisbane Bullets to provide authentic learning experiences.
• Mentor and support students, linking them with professionals in high‑performance sport clubs.

Required profile

• Qualified project management professional with experience delivering projects in sport or related sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to teach or train adult learners at diploma level.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Required skills

• Project planning and execution methodologies.
• Risk management and evaluation techniques.
• Understanding of governance frameworks for projects.
