Teacher – Flexible School (Geraldton)

About the role

The Geraldton Flexible School is seeking full‑time teachers to deliver secondary education to young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. The role is ongoing, with an immediate start for one position and a start date of 20 July 2026 for the second.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, flexible curricula for middle and secondary phase students, incorporating project‑based learning and vocational planning.
• Design learning experiences that reflect classroom diversity and meet individual needs, including students with specific educational or behavioural requirements.
• Develop and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to maximise academic, behavioural and social outcomes.
• Contribute to the school’s strategic objectives, planning processes and the maintenance of a supportive learning environment.

Required profile

• Commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system in the Edmund Rice tradition.
• Minimum three years’ experience working with young people who are disenfranchised from mainstream education.
• Ability to obtain a Western Australia Working with Children Check before commencement.
• Willingness to travel locally, including driving a minivan as required.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of teaching processes, frameworks and best practice.
• Ability to create flexible, innovative curriculum and adapt teaching methods to diverse learner needs.
