Operator Trainer – Mining Site (QLD/NSW)

About the role

Mining Skills Australia is seeking experienced Operator Trainers to deliver hands‑on training on coal‑field sites in Queensland and the Hunter Valley, NSW. The role is day‑shift only, offering a flexible schedule and on‑site accommodation where required.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve production operator skills across excavators, dozers, graders and loaders.
• Deliver step‑up and refresher training using digital resources such as SOP animations and VR practical tasks.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and uphold company values.
• Communicate effectively with clients to tailor training solutions.
• Monitor and report on operator performance and safety compliance.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110) or equivalent.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence.
• RII or equivalent machine competency certifications.
• Minimum three years operating production excavators, dozers, graders or loaders.
• Hands‑on experience delivering operator training.
