Assistant Manager – Business & Private Bank

About the role

The Assistant Manager role sits within ANZ's Business & Private Bank, supporting the delivery of strategic and operational priorities across commercial and private banking segments. You will gain hands‑on exposure to a $5‑15 million lending portfolio in the Diversified Industries space, building core commercial banking capability and deepening credit experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers in delivering customer‑focused banking solutions and insights.
• Conduct financial analysis and develop appropriate customer strategies.
• Establish and maintain a professional market profile and stay informed on industry trends.
• Collaborate with internal functions and stakeholders to align business objectives.
• Demonstrate ANZ values in all interactions with customers and colleagues.

Required profile

• Strong financial literacy, analytical skills and commercial acumen.
• Ability to assess and interpret financial trends.
• Experience building strong customer relationships in a delivery or experience role.
• Understanding of security arrangement structuring.
• Banking experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Preferably holds an accounting or finance degree (not a strict requirement).
