About the role

Chairo Christian School, a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 students across five campuses, is looking for a Year 7 or 8 Secondary School Core Teacher for its Drouin campus. The position starts in January 2027 and is full-time, either ongoing or fixed-term.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the curriculum in line with the school board's guidelines and policies, from a Christian worldview perspective
• Foster a safe and caring environment for all students and role model the love of Jesus Christ
• Maintain a learning environment where students have positive attitudes toward learning and face challenging but achievable expectations
• Assess student performance and give encouraging, confidence-building feedback
• Plan and carry out daily activities that meet the school's educational policies and mission
• Build partnering relationships with students and parents

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in education and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
• Demonstrated commitment to the school's Statement of Faith; applicants must agree with and model it
• Experience teaching at a lower secondary level is desirable
• Sound knowledge of teaching from a Christian worldview perspective
