WSUD & CQA Engineer

About the role

Egis Group is expanding its Flood, Stormwater and Waterway Management team in Brisbane. The WSUD & CQA Engineer will design and deliver civil and multidisciplinary water infrastructure projects, balancing office work with on‑site responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and design stormwater drainage systems, detention basins, bioretention systems, wetlands, harvesting ponds and open channels.
• Produce technical documentation including design reports, specifications, drawings, bills of quantities and cost estimates.
• Conduct technical works for water quality and waterway civil infrastructure projects.
• Split time between office tasks and local site‑based activities.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of experience in WSUD and construction quality assurance.
• Tertiary engineering degree (essential).
• Strong knowledge of local government standards and water‑by‑design standards.
• Ability to think laterally, communicate effectively and deliver practical solutions.

• Hydrological theory and Australian rainfall/runoff analysis
• Water hydraulics
• Design documentation preparation (reports, specifications, drawings)
• Bill of quantities (BOQ) and cost estimating
