Workshop Technician – Fire Safety Equipment

About the role

Join Chubb Fire & Security as a Workshop Technician at our Salisbury, Brisbane branch. You will work in a dedicated workshop environment, servicing, repairing and assembling fire safety equipment to meet Australian standards and Chubb’s quality expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, test, refurbish and repair fire extinguishers, hose reels and related devices in accordance with Australian Standards.
• Document all work performed on service records and job sheets accurately.
• Prepare and assemble new fire safety equipment for delivery and installation.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment and ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with field technicians, customer service teams and supply chain to meet client deadlines.

Required profile

• Service‑focused mindset with a willingness to learn and progress in the fire industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety, quality and accurate record‑keeping.
• Relevant industry qualifications or willingness to undertake training (e.g., QBCC).

Required skills

• Fire extinguisher servicing and repair.
• Hose reel maintenance.
• Equipment inspection and testing to Australian Standards.
• Documentation of service activities on job sheets.
