Workshop Supervisor

About the role

The Workshop Supervisor will lead daily site operations for assigned shipbuilding projects in Henderson, WA. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while developing your team for future leadership roles.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily and weekly tasks for the workshop team, communicating clear requirements.
• Identify risks or constraints, engage stakeholders, and implement mitigation measures.
• Monitor project delivery against time, budget, quality, and safety targets.
• Supervise subcontractors, request quotations, raise purchase orders, and verify work meets specifications.
• Support Operational Quality Evaluations by preparing submissions and providing feedback to the QA department.
• Conduct performance reviews, counselling, and mentoring to develop team members.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in a supervisory role within defence, commercial, fabrication, maintenance or heavy‑industry environments.
• Experience in marine or ship repair is highly desirable.
