Workforce Demand & Forecast Planner

About the role

Kmart and Target are looking for a Workforce Demand & Forecast Planner to join their Customer & Team Member Experience team. You will help shape how labour demand is planned across the store network, partnering with Workforce Planning, Store Operations and other stakeholders to build and refine demand forecasts that support workforce decisions. The role suits someone who enjoys working with complex data and turning demand drivers into practical planning solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve demand forecasts using sales, transaction and operational data.
• Analyse large datasets to find trends and patterns that improve forecast accuracy.
• Turn forecasts into actionable outputs for labour planning, scheduling and workforce allocation.
• Validate data inputs, assumptions and forecasting models.
• Monitor forecast performance, investigate variances and refine models.
• Partner with Workforce Planning and operational stakeholders on demand-driven decisions.
• Help integrate forecast outputs into workforce planning systems and scheduling processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of forecasting and planning.

Required profile

• Experience in workforce demand planning, forecasting, workforce planning, workforce analytics or a similar role.
• Experience developing, maintaining or improving forecasting models and planning tools.
• Experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management.
• Retail, customer-facing or large operational experience is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including data manipulation, trend analysis, modelling and validation.
• Strong analytical skills and stakeholder management.
