WordPress Developer Intern

About the role

A host company in Melbourne, VIC is looking for a WordPress developer intern. It offers meaningful work experience with strong supervision and a supportive environment, and plans to offer permanent employment to the suitable candidate. The internship lasts 12 weeks and can be done 3, 4 or 5 days per week.

Key responsibilities

• Write efficient code and create websites and software using standard HTML/CSS practices.
• Work closely with web designers and programmers to build the website.
• Communicate regularly with colleagues to develop and deploy content, and clarify what can be delivered within each timeframe.
• Research software programs and maintain software documentation.
• Prepare contingency plans in case the website goes down.
• Maintain and expand the website or software once it has been built.

Required profile

• Student of a relevant degree or recent graduate.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• The technical and soft skills needed to perform the job.
• Commitment to a career in the field of study.
• Ability to work at least 3 days per week.
