WHS Consultant – Melbourne

About the role

Aon is seeking a motivated Work Health & Safety (WHS) Consultant to join its People Solutions practice in Melbourne. This hybrid position offers the chance to apply hands‑on WHS experience in a consulting environment, supporting a diverse portfolio of corporate clients across Victoria and Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of WHS advisory projects and client engagements.
• Assist with the review and development of WHS frameworks, procedures and processes.
• Prepare reports, proposals and other key project deliverables.
• Work with clients to understand their WHS needs and safety priorities.
• Contribute practical recommendations that improve safety outcomes.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Aon to deliver high‑quality client solutions.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in Work Health and Safety.
• Exposure to WHS systems, frameworks, procedures and risk‑management processes.
• Strong written communication skills, including report writing and documentation.
• Ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Practical, solutions‑focused approach with strong attention to detail.
• Confidence working in a team‑based, client‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Experience supporting the development, implementation or review of WHS management systems.
• Training and Assessment qualifications (highly regarded).
