Wellbeing Carer - North Rocks

About the role

Bupa North Rocks is a modern care home in a historic outer suburb of north-west Sydney, with 124 beds across various care units and a focus on person-centred care. It is looking for a Wellbeing Carer to help residents find joy, connection and a sense of belonging through activities, companionship and support.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate residents' interests inside and outside the home, such as art classes, gardening clubs, day trips and movie nights
• Connect residents socially, from games of bingo to chats over afternoon tea
• Support daily living such as mealtimes and outings, and offer emotional support to people with cognitive impairment or mental health needs
• Gather feedback through surveys and family conferences
• Work with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress and escalate concerns
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection control protocols
• Help plate and serve meals while following food safety standards and monitoring resident preferences

Required profile

• Previous experience caring for older people in an aged care or community setting is essential
• Flexible, adaptable and creative, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
• First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one
• Australian driver's licence preferred
