Cleaner – Aged Care Facility

About the role

Mercy Health is hiring a casual Cleaner for its Aged Care facility at Mercy Place in Woodspoint, Yarrawonga (VIC). The Cleaner plays a key part in keeping the facility clean and hygienic so that elderly residents feel safe and comfortable. Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the Aged Care home according to prescribed routines and infection control guidelines.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitising common areas, resident rooms and restrooms.
• Ensure the facility meets cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Required profile

• Reliable, resilient and genuinely interested in supporting others and making a difference in the community.
• Previous experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles.
• Ability to work independently and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Sense of compassion and empathy towards elderly residents.
• Experience in an Aged Care or health environment is desirable but not essential.
• Must hold, or be in the process of obtaining, NDIS clearance or a police check.
• Must provide proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccinations consistent with public health orders.
