Wellbeing Carer - Aged Care

About the role

Bupa Woodville is a modern 108-bed care home in Woodville, South Australia, focused on the health, lifestyle and well-being of its residents. It is seeking a part-time Wellbeing Carer to help residents explore their interests, stay connected and feel at home.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate activities such as art classes, gardening clubs, day trips and movie nights, and organise events like bingo and afternoon tea.
• Support residents with daily living such as mealtimes and outings, and offer emotional support to those with cognitive impairment or mental health needs.
• Gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to improve activities.
• Collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress and escalate concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment following infection control protocols.
• Help plate and serve meals while following food safety standards and monitoring resident preferences.

Required profile

• Previous experience caring for older people in an aged care or community setting is essential.
• Flexible, adaptable and creative, with excellent communication skills.
• First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
• Australian driver's licence preferred.
